Where Juniper And Elder Grows

Alina Lesnik

As the first Sun climbs to it's peak
Tender tears stroked the little girls cheek
Without knowing what to seek
A voice beyond the iron door
Is whispering 'cry no more'

A golden feather soared on the winds
The starry-eyed owl spread her wings
'Why so sad, oh little girl?
Come in, come in the night is deep
Come in and you will cry nevermore'

How can I let go
Echoes that hold back my soul
Beneath those unknown walls, oh will I find the light
Where juniper and elder grows

Though the words were meant to give comfort and light
She felt an aching pain deep within
Passing through the old door would mean
That she would forget
That she would forget everything

How can I let go
Echoes that hold back my soul
Beneath those unknown walls, oh will I find the light
Where juniper and elder grows

She took the gardens key and all memory
Gathered in starry-eyes
The painful echo slowly dies
And she smiled with a strange delight
I know that they'll remember
I know that they'll remember me

How can I let go
Echoes that hold back my soul

How can I let go
Echoes that hold back my soul
Beneath those unknown walls, oh will I find the light
Where juniper and elder grows
