I'm not a special snowflake
But if everybody looked and acted this way
It would start to lose its charm
There's a reason that we find our friends
In dirty basement punk rock shows
And not every day walking down the sidewalk
So they might call us freaks
Or say we should act our age
But all my friends are beautiful
And I hope they never, ever change
And some of us might trade this angst
And youth in for a nine-to-five commute
Start a family
I'm not judging
I hope we're happy
And we will buy our children punk cds
And tell them they can live their dreams
Grow up to be
Whatever it is
That they wanna be
And if anyone calls them freaks, we'll say
That freaks are fucking beautiful
And we wouldn't love them any other way
