Cosmic Mirage

Astral Spectre

On through cosmic nights
We‘re chasing stars and lights
We carry the void in our hearts
Bound by time, yet torn in parts

Lost in starlit dreams
Floating on solar streams
Guided by the north star
To this haven we‘ll travel far

I see it glow in distant air
I should be almost there

Cosmic, cosmic mirage
A dream or an illusion
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
Will this journey ever end?
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
What do you see on the horizon?
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
The pilgrimage has just begun

The Sun ignites the sand
My mouth as parched as the land
My pilgrimage goes on and on
Towards the mirage in the dawn

I see it glow in distant air
I should be almost there

Cosmic, cosmic mirage
A dream or an illusion
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
Will this journey ever end?
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
What do you see on the horizon?
Cosmic, cosmic mirage
The pilgrimage has just begun

Boldly they move forward
Drawn to the light beyond the dunes
But the desert remains with silent hunger
Devouring them one after another

I have wandered endlessly
Have I lost my sanity?
No haven found, no promised land
In the nowhere I now stand
It‘s always been so clear to me
A fleeting truth I did not see
A purple scheme in the distance
As I fade away in an instance

Pilgrim, welcome home
No light behind the dune, no no
Pilgrim, this path is your own
The flame burns within you

Horizons bend, the void takes shape
Echoes linger, I can't escape
Time dissolves, the moment's gone
Yet the mirage still lures me on

I see my past in the endless skies
Chasing dreams, illusions and lies
Unbound by my past remains
Without strings I roam these plains

Cosmic mirage, A journey has ended
Cosmic mirage, A new life has begun
