Joy To The World
Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns:
Let men their songs employ,
While fields and floods, rocks,hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground:
He comes to make his blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.
He rules the earth with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of his righteousnes
And wonders of his love.
Alegria para o Mundo
Alegria para o mundo! O Senhor chegou:
Que a terra receba seu Rei!
Que cada coração lhe faça espaço,
E o céu e a natureza cantem.
Alegria para a terra! O Salvador reina:
Que os homens usem suas canções,
Enquanto campos e enchentes, rochas, montanhas e planícies
Repetem a alegria ressoante.
Chega de pecados e tristezas,
Nem espinhos infestem o chão:
Ele vem para fazer suas bênçãos fluírem
Até onde a maldição se encontra.
Ele governa a terra com verdade e graça,
E faz as nações provarem
As glórias de sua justiça
E os maravilhas de seu amor.
