Last night I saw it there, shining in the dark again,
The light that all men seem to fear,
They say that sailors were drowning in the bay,

Na noite passada eu vi lá, brilhando no escuro de novo,
A luz que todos os homens parecem temer,
Dizem que os marinheiros estavam se afogando na baía,
E as pessoas se afastavam,
Esperando pelas riquezas que um naufrágio traria,
Quando a manhã chegar,
E essa luz volta de novo,
