A Cena Que Ninguém Viu

Old Badger was an outlaw that no man could ever ride

So tough the devils pitch fork couldn't penetrate his hide

To beat him was the dream of every cowboy in the land

But try they might as sure is right they'll wind up in the sand

A brag came up from Texas by the name of Too Oaks Tall

Was out to get old Badger cause old Too Oaks rode 'em all

He said he'd tie a granny knot in Badger's twisting tail

So thousands came to stake his claim or to see how bad he'd fail

A mighty crowd had gathered with old Badger in the cute

The stirrups felt the boating weight of Too Oaks heavy boots

Then the cute swang open and the crowd began to roar

Cause shirt tail feet upon the seat like waves upon a shore

They circled that area Badger pawing out his hate

But Tall stuck in the saddle like his tail was made of paste

Badger then exploded as his hooves beat on the air

But Tall did stay like children's play in grandmas rockin' chair

The outlaw's eyes were blazin' and old Talls face was turnin' red

They take off to the right but wind up goin' left instead

They busted through the fence and crashed the stillness of the night

They filled the air with dust and hair and vanished out of sight

Some say they died of thirst and time turned them into stone

Others say they withered and buzzards picked their bones

But somewhere on that prairie is a scene we all ain't saw

Did Tall get throwed or Badger rode or was it called a draw

O Velho Badger era um fora da lei que nenhum homem conseguia montar

Tão durão que o garfo do diabo não conseguia furar sua pele

Derrotá-lo era o sonho de todo cowboy da região

Mas por mais que tentassem, é certo que acabariam na areia

Um brag veio do Texas com o nome de Too Oaks Tall

Veio pra pegar o velho Badger porque o velho Too Oaks montou em todos

Ele disse que ia dar um nó de avó na cauda torcida do Badger

Então milhares vieram pra garantir sua vez ou ver como ele ia se dar mal

Uma multidão enorme se reuniu com o velho Badger na arena

Os estribos sentiam o peso pesado das botas de Too Oaks

Então a arena se abriu e a multidão começou a gritar

Porque os pés na cauda do cavalo balançavam como ondas na praia

Eles circularam a área, Badger batendo com raiva

Mas Tall ficou na sela como se sua cauda fosse feita de cola

Badger então explodiu enquanto suas patas batiam no ar

Mas Tall ficou firme como brincadeira de criança na cadeira de balanço da vovó

Os olhos do fora da lei estavam ardendo e o rosto do Tall estava ficando vermelho

Eles foram pra direita, mas acabaram indo pra esquerda

Eles quebraram a cerca e estouraram o silêncio da noite

Encheram o ar de poeira e cabelo e desapareceram da vista

Alguns dizem que morreram de sede e o tempo os transformou em pedra

Outros dizem que murcharam e os urubus comeram seus ossos

Mas em algum lugar naquela pradaria está uma cena que ninguém viu

Tall foi jogado ou Badger montou ou foi considerado um empate
