Oliphant

A man thought he was an elephant, he’d be learning to fly

He started stretching his wings, just to give it a try

‘N’ all the birds would sing in support of a guy

Who tought he was an elephant learning to fly

He’d be learning fast for an elephant, he’d be getting somewhere

‘N’ all the birds would agree this man had talent to spare

Up to a certain degree, one could even declare

It takes a man to be the first elephant to conquer the air!

Then came the rainy season down zoo city south

‘N’ to the heavens above, the hunter made himself a vow

To track down the elephant… To put his feet on the ground

Crashing in on a dream from the top on down

Who is he to think an elephant isn’t much of a man?

Just like learning to fly isn’t much of a plan?

For these thoughts to be forsaken ‘n’ forever banned?

For their rights to be taken by pop’lar demand?

He would have made a nice elephant, not just your average guy

But now he’s coming of age without putting up much of a fight

This man’s reduced to tears when he looks up to the sky

Everytime an elephant comes flyin’ by

Um homem pensou que ele era um elefante, ele estaria aprendendo a voar

Ele começou a esticar as asas, só para tentar

'N' todos os pássaros cantariam em apoio de um cara

Quem pensava que ele era um elefante aprendendo a voar

Ele estaria aprendendo rápido para um elefante, ele estaria chegando a algum lugar

'N' todos os pássaros concordariam que este homem tinha talento para poupar

Até certo ponto, pode-se até declarar

É preciso um homem para ser o primeiro elefante a conquistar o ar!

Depois veio a estação chuvosa no sul da cidade do zoológico

'N' para os céus acima, o caçador fez um voto

Para rastrear o elefante ... Para colocar os pés no chão

Caindo em um sonho de cima para baixo

Quem é ele para pensar que um elefante não é muito homem?

Assim como aprender a voar não é muito um plano?

Para estes pensamentos serem abandonados e banidos para sempre?

Por seus direitos a serem tomados pela demanda pop'lar?

Ele teria feito um bom elefante, não apenas um cara comum

Mas agora ele está amadurecendo sem ter muita luta

Este homem é reduzido a lágrimas quando olha para o céu

Toda vez que um elefante vem voando
