The Almighty
At this my heart points
And leaps from its place.
Listen! listen to the roar of his voice,
To the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven
And sends it to the ends of the earth.
After that comes the sound of his roar;
He thunders with his majestic voice.
When his voice resounds,
He holds nothing back.
He loads the clouds with moisture;
He scatters his lightning through them.
At his direction they swirl around
Over the face of the whole earth
To do whatever he commands them.
He brings the clouds to punish men,
Or to water his earth and show his love.
Out of the north he comes in golden splendor;
God comes in awesome majesty.
The almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
In his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
Therefore, men revere him,
For does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?
O Todo-Poderoso
Neste momento meu coração aponta
E salta do seu lugar.
Escute! escute o rugido da sua voz,
O estrondo que vem da sua boca.
Ele solta seus relâmpagos sob todo o céu
E os envia até os confins da terra.
Depois disso vem o som do seu rugido;
Ele troveja com sua voz majestosa.
Quando sua voz ressoa,
Ele não segura nada.
Ele carrega as nuvens com umidade;
Ele espalha seus relâmpagos por elas.
Sob sua direção elas giram
Sobre a face de toda a terra
Para fazer o que quer que ele ordene.
Ele traz as nuvens para punir os homens,
Ou para regar sua terra e mostrar seu amor.
Do norte ele vem em esplendor dourado;
Deus vem em majestade impressionante.
O todo-poderoso está além do nosso alcance e exaltado em poder;
Em sua justiça e grande retidão, ele não oprime.
Portanto, os homens o reverenciam,
Pois ele não tem consideração por todos os sábios de coração?
