Genesis

Elixir Worship

The earth was loud, full of blood and pain
Every heart ran wild, every thought was stained
God looked down and His heart felt grief
The world forgot Him, no fear, no belief

But there was one man who walked His way
Found grace in God when turned grey
No one listened when God spoke clear
Build an ark, the flood is near

Rain fell hard, the sky broke wide
And Mercy stood on the other side
One door closed, one hope afloat
Grace was carried on that wooden boat

When the world was washed and the ground was new
God kept His Word, He always do

Gopher wood, long was his faith
People laughed while he worked in the heat
Day by day he warned them still
But they turned away from God's will

Two by two the animals came
Every breath moved by God's hand
When the door was shut by the Lord himself
No strength of man could save himself

Rain fell hard, the sky broke wide
But Mercy stood on the other side
One door closed, one hope afloat
Grace was carried on that wooden boat

When the world was washed and the ground was new
God kept His Word, He always do

Forty days, forty nights it poured
Waters rose just like the Lord said before
Mountains drowned, the old world passed
But God remembered Noah at last

The waters fell, the land stood dry
A dove flew out across the sky
An altar built, a sacrifice given
God made a promise sealed in heaven

He set a bow across the sky
Said never again will the whole earth die
From judgment came a whole new start
A faithful God with a steady heart

Rain fell hard, but grace stayed true

From death came life, the world made new
One door, one ark, one faithful call
God saves the ones who trust Him all

From then ‘till now the grace still stands
God keeps His Word in every land
