The Other Half

Elsa

Wind has turned from west to east
Love in all her work has ceased
All of life is held at bay
But I continue on my way

To me it's just another day
The other half
Of planet earth is sleeping still
The sky is black

I turn my coat against the chill
In front of me I'm lost
The paths divide
Behind me rain covers my tracks

No way to go back
I try to see the light ahead
My heart is beating in my head
The birds are turning into girls

With raven curbs and skin so white
I catch my breath and I take flight
