Colourblind

Endeavour

There is a creature in my mind
It keeps on digging a deeper hole
Carving a tunnel somewhere inside
Pulling strings just to gain control
I know that we're diverging
It's not too late
Pieces rising to the surface
They fit the puzzle that builds my purpose

It's in my mind and it's always hungry
But I won't let this parasite define me

When I look up and I feel the clarity
I let it pick me up, I let it carry me
Never thought that I could be so colourblind
I'm in control of my own mind

I know that we're diverging
It's not too late
Something rises to the surface
Among the pieces that build my purpose
It all comes down
Beams of lightning
Strike the places that hurt the most
I've felt this before
This is a known sensation, cold to the core

And as the gods look down upon my soul
Do they just build me up to watch me fall?
It's in my mind and it's always hungry
But I won't let this parasite define me

When I look up and I feel the clarity
I let it pick me up, I let it carry me
Never thought that I could be so colourblind
I'm in control of my own mind

When I look up and I feel the clarity
I let it pick me up, I let it carry me
Never thought that I could be so colourblind
I'm in control of my own mind
