I spent so much time in the past
Wishing that - i could go back
I thought i could make a change somehow
With all these things - i know now
Just these thoughts - again and again
The what if's or what could've beens
Time heals all wounds
But the scars - still show through
What i saw, said or did
It is what it is
And i can't help it
But it still hurts to look
Back on some things
And wish they were somehow
Done differently
Wrapped up in the past i couldn't see what i had
I need to let go of what's holding me back
