Survivor
Into the light we see a simple kind of dream
One of love and complacency.
But out here in darkness I envision different things
Down on myself, always running.
Don't even analyze my life
Only the fittest will survive
I'll walk into the face, towards some special place,
Where only the fittest survive.
They say to be in love you must first love yourself.
What is it like to love yourself?
Is it worth what can be gained to suffer everyday?
To suffer for another day?
And yet I still survive; somewhere along the line
I took an oath to stay alive.
An Affirmation that keeps me bound to life
Some glimmer of hope within me shines.
Sobrevivente
Na luz vemos um sonho simples
Um de amor e complacência.
Mas aqui na escuridão eu imagino coisas diferentes
Me rebaixando, sempre correndo.
Nem analise minha vida
Só os mais fortes vão sobreviver
Vou encarar a cara, em direção a um lugar especial,
Onde só os mais fortes sobrevivem.
Dizem que pra amar você deve primeiro se amar.
Como é amar a si mesmo?
Vale a pena o que se ganha pra sofrer todo dia?
Sofrer por mais um dia?
E ainda assim eu sobrevivo; em algum momento
Fiz um juramento de ficar vivo.
Uma afirmação que me mantém preso à vida
Um brilho de esperança dentro de mim brilha.
