Amazing Grace
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,

The Lord has promised good to me,

He will my Shield and Portion be,

The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

Que salvou um miserável como eu!
Eu estava perdido, mas agora fui encontrado;
Era cego, mas agora vejo.
Foi a graça que ensinou meu coração a temer,
E a graça aliviou meus medos;
Quão preciosa foi essa graça
Na hora em que acreditei pela primeira vez!
Através de muitos perigos, trabalhos e armadilhas,
Eu já cheguei até aqui;
Foi a graça que me trouxe seguro até aqui,
E a graça me levará pra casa.
O Senhor prometeu o bem pra mim,
Sua Palavra é minha esperança;
Ele será meu Escudo e Porção,
Enquanto a vida durar.
Sim, quando esta carne e coração falharem,
E a vida mortal cessar,
Eu possuirei, além do véu,
Uma vida de alegria e paz.
A terra logo se dissolverá como neve,
O sol deixará de brilhar;
Mas Deus, que me chamou aqui embaixo,
Será para sempre meu.
Quando estivermos lá por dez mil anos,
Brilhando como o sol,
Não teremos menos dias para louvar a Deus
Do que quando começamos.
