Among th'assemblies of the great
A greater Ruler takes His seat;
The God of Heav'n, as Judge, surveys,
The gods on earth, and all their ways.
Why will ye, then, frame wicked laws?
Or why support th'unrighteous cause?
When will ye once defend the poor,
That sinners vex the saints no more?
They know not, Lord, nor will they know;
Dark are the ways in which they go;
Their name of earthly gods is vain,
For they shall fall and die like men.
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy Son
Possess His universal throne,
And rule the nations with His rod,
He is our Judge, and He our God.

Entre as assembleias dos grandes
Um Governante maior toma seu lugar;
O Deus do Céu, como Juiz, observa,
Os deuses na terra, e todos os seus caminhos.
Por que, então, vocês vão criar leis perversas?
Ou por que apoiar a causa injusta?
Quando vocês vão defender os pobres,
Para que os pecadores não atormentem mais os santos?
Eles não sabem, Senhor, nem vão saber;
Sombreros são os caminhos que eles seguem;
O nome deles como deuses terrenos é em vão,
Pois eles cairão e morrerão como homens.
Levanta-te, ó Senhor, e deixe Teu Filho
Possuir Seu trono universal,
E governar as nações com Sua vara,
Ele é nosso Juiz, e Ele é nosso Deus.
