And truly it is a most glorious thing
Thus to hear men pray and God's praises sing,
O how great comfort is it now to see-
The churches to enjoy full liberty.
And to have the Gospel preachèd here with power,
And such wolves repelled as all would else devour.
But God will still for His people provide
Such as be able them to help and guide,
If they cleave to Him and do not forsake-
His laws and truth and their own ways do take.
If thou hast viewed the camp of Israel,
How God in the wilderness with them did dwell.
His great and marvelous works they here saw,
And He them taught in His most holy law,
A small emblem hereof thou mayest see,
How God hath dealt with them in some degree,
For much of Himself they now there have seen,
And marvelous to them His works have been.

E verdadeiramente é uma coisa gloriosa
Assim ouvir homens orar e cantar louvores a Deus,
Oh, quão grande conforto é agora ver-
As igrejas desfrutando plena liberdade.
E ter o Evangelho pregado aqui com poder,
E repelir lobos que todos devorariam.
Mas Deus ainda proverá para Seu povo
Aqueles que possam ajudá-los e guiá-los,
Se eles se apegarão a Ele e não abandonarem-
Suas leis e a verdade e seus próprios caminhos tomarem.
Se você já viu o acampamento de Israel,
Como Deus no deserto habitou com eles.
Seus grandes e maravilhosos feitos eles aqui viram,
E Ele os ensinou em Sua lei mais santa,
Um pequeno emblema disso você pode ver,
Como Deus lidou com eles em algum grau,
Pois muito de Si mesmo eles agora lá viram,
E maravilhosos para eles têm sido Seus feitos.
