Be thou, O God exalted high;

And as Thy glory fills the sky,

So let it be on earth displayed,

Till Thou art here, as there, obeyed.

O God, my heart is fixed; 'tis bent

Its thankful tribute to present;

And, with my heart, my voice I'll raise

To Thee, my God, in songs of praise.

Thy praises, Lord, I will resound

To all the listening nations round;

Thy mercy highest heav'n transcends;

Thy truth beyond the clouds extends.

Sê Tu, ó Deus, exaltado altíssimo;

E assim como a Tua glória enche o céu,

Que assim seja na terra também,

Até que aqui, como lá, Te obedeçam.

Ó Deus, meu coração está firme; está decidido

A apresentar sua homenagem agradecida;

E, com meu coração, minha voz eu levantarei

A Ti, meu Deus, em cânticos de louvor.

Teus louvores, Senhor, eu vou ressoar

Para todas as nações que estão a escutar;

Tua misericórdia é maior que o céu;

Tua verdade se estende além das nuvens.
