So tell me, what got you into the hip-hop?
Well, I started writing poetry all the time
And it became like a hobby of mine
And then my two friends had a little singing group
And I really wanted to be in it but I can't sing
So I started taking all my poems and make them into rap
And then we would go catch all the busses
To all the hip-hop festivals
And get up on the open mics and ever since
I like perform in front of people
And everything I just wanted to keep doing it
And eventually with school and everything my two friends
I was in a group with decided that they wanted to go
Do other things and I still loved to rap
So I just decided it would be something
I'd pushing on my own

Bom, eu comecei a escrever poesia o tempo todo
E isso virou um hobby pra mim
Aí meus dois amigos tinham um grupinho de canto
E eu realmente queria fazer parte, mas não sei cantar
Então comecei a pegar todos os meus poemas e transformar em rap
E a gente pegava todos os ônibus
Pra todos os festivais de hip-hop
E subia nos microfones abertos e desde então
Eu gosto de me apresentar pra galera
E tudo que eu queria era continuar fazendo isso
E eventualmente, com a escola e tudo mais, meus dois amigos
Com quem eu estava no grupo decidiram que queriam fazer
Outras coisas e eu ainda amava rap
Então decidi que seria algo
Que eu seguiria sozinho.
