Ice Skater

Illustration

Pushing through the trees he sees the daylight changes form
He remembers castaways from far away shores
The colour cycle just slides across your mind
As the cold light flickers small fragments in your eye

I'm drowning in ice now, a waterless swimming pool
So sail on home to the total goal, where I crush like bone, on a Tannoy on a radio
Can you hear me won't you feel me drown

All your friends of years ago so static and so small
We've left them all behind like children in the dark
They're chasing colours and to bring down the scream
Makes my heart beat faster when I'm living in your dreams

I'm drowning in ice now, a waterless swimming pool
So sail on home to the total goal, till I crush like bone, on a Tannoy on a radio
Radio, radio, radio, radio, radio, radio
