The Unicorn
A long time ago when the earth was green,
There were more kinds of animals than you've ever seen,
They'd run around free while the earth was being born,
But the loveliest of all was the Unicorn.
There were green alligators and long necked geese,
Some humpty-back camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born,
The loveliest of all was the Unicorn.
Now God seen some sinning and it gave Him pain,
And He said "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain."
He said "Hey brother Noah, I'll tell you what to do,
Build me a floating zoo. And take some of them...
Green alligators and long necked geese,
Some humpty-back camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born,
Don't you forget My Unicorn."
Well Noah was there to answer the call,
And he finished making the ark just as the rain started tofall.
He marched in the animals two by two,
And he called out as they went through, "Hey Lord, I gotyour..."

Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born,
I just don't see no Unicorn."
Well Noah looked out through the driving rain,
Those Unicorns were hiding, and playing silly games.
They were kicking and a-splashing while the rain was pouringdown,
Oh them silly Unicorns.
There were green alligators and long necked geese,
Some humpty-back camels and some chimpanzees,
Noah cried "Close the door, for the rain is pouring,
And we just can't wait for no Unicorn."
Well the ark started moving, it drifted with the tide.
Those Unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried,
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away,
And that's why you'll never see a Unicorn... to this very day.

Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born,
You're never gonna see no Unicorn.
O Unicórnio
Há muito tempo, quando a terra era verde,
Havia mais tipos de animais do que você já viu,
Eles corriam livres enquanto a terra estava nascendo,
Mas o mais lindo de todos era o Unicórnio.
Havia jacarés verdes e gansos de pescoço longo,
Alguns camelos corcundas e alguns chimpanzés,
Alguns gatos, ratos e elefantes, mas com certeza, você nasceu,
O mais lindo de todos era o Unicórnio.
Agora Deus viu alguns pecados e isso lhe deu dor,
E Ele disse: "Fiquem longe, vou fazer chover."
Ele disse: "Ei, irmão Noé, vou te dizer o que fazer,
Construa para mim um zoológico flutuante. E leve alguns deles...
Jacarés verdes e gansos de pescoço longo,
Alguns camelos corcundas e alguns chimpanzés,
Alguns gatos, ratos e elefantes, mas com certeza, você nasceu,
Não se esqueça do Meu Unicórnio."
Bem, Noé estava lá para atender ao chamado,
E ele terminou de fazer a arca assim que a chuva começou a cair.
Ele fez os animais entrarem dois a dois,
E ele gritou enquanto eles passavam: "Ei Senhor, eu tenho seu..."

Alguns camelos corcundas e alguns chimpanzés,
Alguns gatos, ratos e elefantes, mas com certeza, você nasceu,
Eu simplesmente não vejo nenhum Unicórnio."
Bem, Noé olhou para fora pela chuva forte,
Aqueles Unicórnios estavam se escondendo e brincando de forma boba.
Eles estavam chutando e espirrando enquanto a chuva caía,
Oh, aqueles Unicórnios bobos.
Havia jacarés verdes e gansos de pescoço longo,
Alguns camelos corcundas e alguns chimpanzés,
Noé gritou: "Fechem a porta, pois a chuva está caindo,
E nós simplesmente não podemos esperar por nenhum Unicórnio."
Bem, a arca começou a se mover, flutuou com a maré.
Aqueles Unicórnios olharam para cima das pedras e gritaram,
E as águas desceram e meio que os levaram embora,
E é por isso que você nunca verá um Unicórnio... até hoje.
Você verá jacarés verdes e gansos de pescoço longo,
Alguns camelos corcundas e alguns chimpanzés,
Alguns gatos, ratos e elefantes, mas com certeza, você nasceu,
Você nunca vai ver nenhum Unicórnio.
