Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem
O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.
Yet in the dark streets shineth the everlasting light;
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wond'ring love.
O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth!
And praises sing to God the king, and peace to all the earth!
How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is giv'n!
So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of the heav'ns.
No ear may hear His coming, but in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still the dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray,
Cast out our sin, and enter in, be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell.
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel!

Ó pequena cidade de Belém, quão quieta te vemos deitar!
Acima do teu sono profundo e sem sonhos, as estrelas silenciosas vão passar.
Ainda nas ruas escuras brilha a luz eterna;
As esperanças e medos de todos os anos se encontram em ti esta noite.
Pois Cristo nasceu de Maria, e se reuniu lá em cima,
Enquanto os mortais dormem, os anjos vigiam com amor admirado.
Ó estrelas da manhã, proclamem juntas o nascimento sagrado!
E louvem a Deus, o rei, e paz a toda a terra!
Quão silenciosamente, quão silenciosamente, o presente maravilhoso é dado!
Assim Deus concede aos corações humanos as bênçãos dos céus.
Nenhum ouvido pode ouvir Sua vinda, mas neste mundo de pecado,
Onde almas humildes ainda o receberão, o querido Cristo entra.
Ó santo Menino de Belém, desça até nós, nós te pedimos,
Afaste nosso pecado, e entre em nós, nasce em nós hoje!
Ouvimos os anjos de Natal contando as grandes boas novas.
Ó venha até nós, permaneça conosco, nosso Senhor Emmanuel!
