It started out like any other day

I told myself, man I can't live like this another day

My mother say I need to make a change and stop it all

what better time than Sunday morning at the altar call

"and now you trying to go again? man you won't last a week"

"its 9 o clock man turn around and lets go back to sleep" I didn't stop

Now I'm standin there in front of the church

people starring and I'm feeling like I'm one of the worst

I wasn't caring,then the preacher walked up looked me dead in the eye

he said "you ready to change" I said "I'm ready to try"

All of a sudden had my hands up

and something happened but I couldn't understand what

'cause I was lookin at my life and stupid things I've done

Like the time I walked around in Target with that gun

Ready to kill em but the dude he never came to work

God showed me that was him and all his angels work

and then he showed what would have happened if he didn't care

and I saw my body slumped in the electric chair

Then He showed some times I could have been erased

Like in that alley with that pistol pointed in my face

I always wondered why that dude just turned and drove away

He showed that day he had some angels standing by my side

I saw the whole thing in slow motion and it made me cry

I realized I should be gone and sleeping in the ground

nobody special man so why He keepin me around?

But then I found that he wanted me to reach some folks

To take this music use it for some good and teach some folks

But he should know that all I rap about is selling dope

being a mack or pullin out a gat and shootin folks...he don't want that do he?

Then God said he had some new songs, some positive some every word you hear is true songs

Some change your life 'cause thats the only thing to do songs, believe me dog I used to be out there like you songs

It wasn't long before my shivering and shaking ceased

then he showed me all the places he was taking me

Then he showed me all the folks that my songs would save

and all the things that he would bless me with along the way

and on that day I realized that I was far from perfect

and God had kept me safe from harm until I saw my purpose

And it was worth it cause I get to reach the world without loosing my soul

"São 9 horas, cara, vira e vamos voltar a dormir" Eu não parei

Agora tô lá em pé na frente da igreja

As pessoas me encarando e eu me sentindo um dos piores

Eu não tava ligando, então o pregador se aproximou e olhou bem nos meus olhos

Ele disse "Você tá pronto pra mudar?" Eu disse "Tô pronto pra tentar"

De repente, levantei as mãos

E algo aconteceu, mas eu não consegui entender o que

Porque eu tava olhando pra minha vida e as coisas estúpidas que fiz

Como aquela vez que andei pelo Target com aquela arma

Pronto pra matar, mas o cara nunca apareceu pra trabalhar

Deus me mostrou que era ele e todos os seus anjos trabalhando

E então ele mostrou o que teria acontecido se ele não se importasse

E eu vi meu corpo caído na cadeira elétrica

Então Ele mostrou algumas vezes que eu poderia ter sido apagado

Como naquela viela com aquela pistola apontada pra minha cara

Eu sempre me perguntei por que aquele cara simplesmente virou e foi embora

Porque de onde eu venho isso não acontece, você seria estourado

Ele mostrou que naquele dia ele tinha alguns anjos ao meu lado

Eu vi tudo em câmera lenta e isso me fez chorar

Eu percebi que eu deveria estar morto e enterrado

ninguém especial, cara, então por que ele tá me mantendo por aqui?

Mas então eu descobri que ele queria que eu alcançasse algumas pessoas

Pra pegar essa música, usá-la para algo bom e ensinar algumas pessoas

Mas ele deveria saber que tudo que eu falo é sobre vender droga

Ser um garanhão ou sacar uma arma e atirar nas pessoas... ele não quer isso, quer?

Então Deus disse que tinha algumas músicas novas, algumas positivas, algumas verdadeiras

Algumas que mudam sua vida, porque é a única coisa a fazer, acredite em mim, cara, eu costumava estar lá como você

Não demorou muito pra eu parar de tremer e sacudir

Então ele me mostrou todos os lugares que ele estava me levando

Então ele me mostrou todas as pessoas que minhas músicas iriam salvar

E todas as coisas que ele me abençoaria ao longo do caminho

E naquele dia eu percebi que eu estava longe de ser perfeito

E Deus me manteve seguro até eu ver meu propósito

E valeu a pena porque eu consigo alcançar o mundo sem perder minha alma
