And to it the dragon gave his power

E grande autoridade
And great authority
Uma de suas cabeças tinha uma ferida grave
One of his heads had a mortal wound
Mas parecia ter uma ferida grave
But it seemed to have a mortal wound
Que tinha sido curada
That was healed
E a Terra inteira seguiu a besta com admiração
And the whole earth followed the beast with wonder
Os homens veneraram o dragão
Men worshipped the dragon
Pois ele tinha dado autoridade para a besta
For he had given his authority to the beast
E eles veneraram a besta dizendo
And they worshipped the beast saying
"Quem é como a besta e quem pode lutar contra a besta? "
"Who is like the beast and who can fight against the beast?"
E a besta foi dada a boca
And the beast was given a mouth
Proferia arrogâncias e blasfêmias
Uttering haughty and blasphemous words
E foi permitido exercitar a autoridade por quarenta e dois meses
And it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months
Abriu sua boca para proferir
It opened its mouth to utter blasphemous

Deu permissão para fazer guerra contra os santos
It was allowed to make war on the saints
E para conquista-los
And to conquer them
E autoridade era dada sobre cada tribo
And authority was given it over every tribe
E população e língua e nação
And a people and tongue and nation
E todos que habitavam a Terra poderiam venerá-lo
And all who dwell on earth could worship it
