Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream
Last night I had the strangest dream,
I'd never dreamed before.
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.
I dreamed I saw a mighty room,
The room was full of men.
And the paper they were signing said
They'd never fight again.
And when the paper was all signed,
And a million copies made,
They all joined hands and bowed their heads,
And grateful prayers were prayed.
And the people in the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round,
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground.

Na última noite tive o sonho mais estranho,
Nunca tinha sonhado assim antes.
Sonhei que o mundo todo concordou
Em acabar com a guerra.
Sonhei que vi uma sala imensa,
A sala estava cheia de homens.
E o papel que eles estavam assinando dizia
Que nunca mais iriam lutar.
E quando o papel foi todo assinado,
E um milhão de cópias feitas,
Todos se deram as mãos e baixaram a cabeça,
E orações de gratidão foram feitas.
E o povo nas ruas lá embaixo
Dançava em volta e em volta,
Enquanto espadas, armas e fardas
Estavam espalhadas pelo chão.
