This is Brazil

R.A.I.V.A. (Chuberries)

I’ve got a clay filter dripping on the floor
Cold water tastes like home, don’t need no more
A caramel dog sleeping by my side
He guards the street, with lazy pride

Sunday fire, smoke is in the sky
Family’s laughing, meat is passing by
Voices loud, but love is in the air
Soccer on the radio, we all cheer there

Not fancy dreams, no golden crown
But these small things turn my world around

This is Brazil, the way I know
From the backyard grill to the World Cup show
From the street dog’s bark to the neighbor’s sound
It’s in the little things that love is found

Plastic chairs breaking under the Sun
Kids keep running, never done
Voices mix in a joyful fight
Churrasco smoke in the fading light

No diamond rings, no kingdom’s call
But these brasilidades are my all

This is Brazil, the way I know
From the backyard grill to the World Cup show
From the street dog’s bark to the neighbor’s sound
It’s in the little things that love is found

Clay filter water, sweet and cold
Stories passed, forever told
Caramel dog, churrasco flame
Brazil is love, it’s more than a name!

This is Brazil, the way I know
From the backyard grill to the World Cup show
From the street dog’s bark to the neighbor’s sound
It’s in the little things that love is found
