As I wander through this pilgrim land
There is a friend who walks with me
Leads me safely through the sinking sand it is the christ of calvary
This would be my prayer dear lord each day
To help me do the best I can
For I need thy light to guide me day and night

Lead me safely to a land of rest if I a crown of life have won
I have put my faith in thee dear lord
That I may reach the golden strand
There's no other friend on whom I can depend

Através desta terra peregrino proteger me com o teu poder
Ouça meu fraco apelo oh senhor olhar para baixo em mim
Quando eu me ajoelho em oração, espero encontrá-lo lá

Deixe-me viajar na luz divina para que eu possa ver o caminho abençoado
Mantenha-me para que eu possa ser inteiramente teu e cantar a canção de redenção dia
Serei um soldado corajoso e verdadeiro e ter sempre uma posição firme
Como eu ir para a frente e diariamente enfrentar o inimigo bendito Jesus segurar minha mão
Quando ando pelo vale escuro em direção ao pôr do sol
Me levar com segurança a uma terra de descanso se eu a coroa da vida ganharam
Eu coloquei minha fé em ti querido senhor
Que eu possa alcançar a costa dourada
