i stand opposed of what i've been taught my whole life
my family entangled by the church of rome
followed traditions of man - never followed my own
my creed - not saved by works, but by grace alone
no pope, no priest, nor cardinal over me
i call no one father except the one true God
Christ is my mediatior i will repent to him alone
confused by hail marys - confessions to a man
faith drowned in "holy" water Christ reduced to sacraments

eu me oponho ao que me ensinaram a vida inteira
minha família presa à igreja de Roma
segui tradições humanas - nunca segui as minhas
minha crença - não salvo por obras, mas somente pela graça
nenhum papa, nenhum padre, nem cardeal sobre mim
eu não chamo ninguém de pai, exceto o único Deus verdadeiro
Cristo é meu mediador, a ele me arrependo sozinho
confuso com ave-marias - confissões a um homem
fé afogada em "água sagrada" Cristo reduzido a sacramentos
eu me oponho ao que me ensinaram a vida inteira
minha família presa à igreja de Roma
