i received a message from the law
wondering how i was getting along
was i ever gonna write at all?
i received a message from mama
she was telling me about a run
i was just listening to her talk
barely looking back
squarely on the map

i received a notice from the board
they were telling me
"get out, get out"
but i worked a week my rent was cheap
i died
"you'll never catch me" i cried
