Power is perception
Perception is power
I was in a store
Trying on a jacket I couldn't afford
Through the glass
Power lines snapped like the working class
Stepped outside
Tree bent like an old man's spine
Still held a lamp
Pretending to shine
People gathered, I played the fool
Ice cream man lost his cool
Power said adiós
Calm broke my crooked prose
Power lines of perceived deception
Pulse through night like a false confession
Every wire's a tie to something numb
That won't care when the ending comes
Stay away from the cables
They hum sweet lies, old as fables
Don't get yourself stuck in wires
They sing like sirens, masked as flyers
People stared, sleepwalkers, staged
Tree and wires became my cage
Truth in the tension?
Only fragments retention
Bright yellow suits
I jumped twice, boots to roots
Next blink, I had the badge
Wearing the lie like it was a pledge
Line's dead
But not all the way
We passed the line from post to post
Threading myths where hope was ghost
I clamped the break, thought we were done
But truth still hid beyond the run
Another snap, another lie
They missed it, i asked why
They shrugged, i told those guys
Then look again with both your eyes
Power lines of perceived deception
Run deeper than disconnection
Now I see, now I lead
And this time, we plant the seed
Don't get yourself stuck in wires
That hum with your forgotten fire
You're more than the current they sold as a cure
Stay grounded and you'll endure
