My Lesson
Here I go on another trip
Another meal I skip
Cos I'm lookin for something
It's something that I may never find
But I've got lots of time
And it's never for nothing
Cos one thing I won't do is lay down and die
Cos I'm not a quitter
Some things I've gotta figure out for myself
And you just can't tell me
And maybe some distant rainy day
I'll look back and I'll feel so silly
But til then I'll keep on pushin on
Until one day I'll break through
Become the man that I knew I'd be
And I will owe it all to you
Sometimes all that it's gotta take
Is to make mistakes
And my lesson is branded
But through my trials I will find my way
And I'll never say that my lesson was handed
Although you tried your best
To lend me a hand
This is still my lesson

Minha Lição
Aqui vou eu em mais uma viagem
Mais uma refeição que eu pulo
Porque estou procurando por algo
É algo que talvez eu nunca encontre
Mas eu tenho muito tempo
E nunca é em vão
Porque uma coisa que eu não vou fazer é me deitar e morrer
Porque eu não sou um desistente
Algumas coisas eu preciso descobrir por mim mesmo
E você não pode simplesmente me dizer
E talvez em algum distante dia chuvoso
Eu olhe para trás e me sinta tão bobo
Mas até lá eu vou continuar seguindo em frente
Até que um dia eu consiga
Me tornar o homem que eu sabia que seria
E eu vou dever tudo a você
Às vezes tudo que é preciso
É cometer erros
E minha lição está marcada
Mas através das minhas provações eu vou encontrar meu caminho
E eu nunca vou dizer que minha lição foi dada
Embora você tenha feito o seu melhor
