Diamonds In The Rough TRADUÇÃO - The Carter Family (Impressão)

While walking out one evening, not knowing where to go,

just to pass the time away before we held our show,

I heard the Bethel mission's band singing with all their might,

I gave my heart to Jesus and left the show that night.

The day will soon be over and digging will be done,

and no more gems be gathered, so let us all press on.

When Jesus comes to claim us, and says it is enough,

the diamonds will be shining no longer in the rough.

While reading through the Bible, some wondrous sights I've seen,

I read of Peter, James and John by the Sea of Galilee.

And Jesus when he found them, he found them very tough,

for they were precious diamonds, he gathered in the rough.

Enquanto caminhava numa noite, sem saber pra onde ir,

só pra passar o tempo antes do nosso show começar,

ouvi a banda da missão Bethel cantando com toda força,

entreguei meu coração a Jesus e deixei o show naquela noite.

O dia logo vai acabar e a escavação vai terminar,

e não haverá mais pedras preciosas, então vamos continuar.

Quando Jesus vier nos buscar e disser que já basta,

os diamantes não brilharão mais em seu estado bruto.

Enquanto lia a Bíblia, vi coisas maravilhosas,

li sobre Pedro, Tiago e João à beira do Mar da Galileia.

E Jesus, quando os encontrou, viu que eram bem durões,

pois eram diamantes preciosos, que ele reuniu em seu estado bruto.
