Sometimes I wake up early to say goodbye
just in case you don't come back.
I know the coffee leaves by car,
because it goes fast really far.
Then that's where you are.
And soon the room can't tell you were here,
and there's dust in my hair
and dusty air has gone crazy for something late in the year,
and water everywhere.
Sometimes I wake up early to say hello,
tell you everything you already know.
So early I start watching the bed,
where we are attacked and we are one.
We come all undone.

Às vezes eu acordo cedo pra me despedir
caso você não volte mais.
Eu sei que o café vai embora de carro,
porque ele vai rápido pra longe.

E logo o quarto não consegue dizer que você esteve aqui,
e tem poeira no meu cabelo
e o ar empoeirado ficou louco por algo no final do ano,
e água por todo lado.
Às vezes eu acordo cedo pra te dar um alô,
te contar tudo que você já sabe.
Tão cedo eu começo a olhar pra cama,
de onde somos atacados e somos um.
Nós nos desfazemos.
Quando eu chego por aqui,
alguns perdidos e alguns encontrados,
eu sei que você vai estar aqui no chão quando eu chegar.
