Out Beyond Chaos' Gloom
Lusted for fight even more than before
On that day they joined in hate full battle
Both male & female, Titans & those
Whom Saturn sired & those whom Zeus
Had brought to light from Erebos, beneath Earth.
Hot blast reached the earthborn Titans
Flame unspeakable rose to the upper air
Flashing brightness of thunderbolt
& lightening blinded all, however strong
The awful heat reached chaos, to the ear
It sounded, to the eye it looked as though
Broad Heaven were coming down upon Earth
For such a noise of crashing might arise
If she was falling, hurled down by her fall
& further on, apart from all the gods
The Titans live, out beyond chaos' gloom
Além da Escuridão do Caos
Desejavam lutar ainda mais do que antes
Naquele dia se uniram em uma batalha cheia de ódio
Tanto homens quanto mulheres, Titãs e aqueles
Que Saturno gerou e aqueles que Zeus
Trouxe à luz do Érebo, debaixo da Terra.
Um calor intenso atingiu os Titãs nascidos da terra
Chamas indescritíveis subiram para o ar superior
O brilho relampejante do raio
E os relâmpagos cegaram a todos, por mais fortes que fossem
O calor terrível alcançou o caos, aos ouvidos
Soou, aos olhos parecia que
O amplo Céu estava descendo sobre a Terra.
Pois tal barulho de estrondos poderia surgir
Se ela estivesse caindo, lançada por sua queda
E mais adiante, longe de todos os deuses
Os Titãs vivem, além da escuridão do caos.
