Chegada da glória do Senhor (introdução)

Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome. Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.

When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army.

When they stood still, they lowered their wings.

Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.

Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.

I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.

Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

Estendido acima das cabeças das criaturas vivas havia algo parecido com um teto, brilhando como cristal e impressionante. Sob o teto, suas asas estavam esticadas uma em direção à outra, e cada uma tinha duas asas cobrindo seu corpo.

Quando as criaturas se moviam, eu ouvia o som de suas asas, como o rugido de águas correntes, como a voz do Todo-Poderoso, como o tumulto de um exército.

Quando elas paravam, abaixavam suas asas.

Então veio uma voz de cima do teto sobre suas cabeças, enquanto estavam com as asas abaixadas.

Acima do teto sobre suas cabeças havia algo parecido com um trono de lápis-lazúli, e bem acima do trono havia uma figura semelhante a um homem.

Eu vi que, da cintura para cima, ele parecia ser de metal brilhante, como se estivesse cheio de fogo, e que dali para baixo ele parecia ser de fogo; e uma luz brilhante o cercava.

Como o aparecimento de um arco-íris nas nuvens em um dia chuvoso, assim era o brilho ao seu redor.

Esta era a aparência da semelhança da glória do Senhor.

Quando vi isso, caí com o rosto no chão, e ouvi a voz de alguém falando.
