Voar

The day I knew I was old enough to fly / I left the nest and hit that open sky

I spread my wings so far and wide / I could touch the horizon on both sides

I turned my head, smiled, and said goodbye

I've never felt so aimless and free / I had no plan, that was alright by me

Just ride the wind, it was cool / everything looked brand new

Clear blue skies as far as I could see

I made a lot of friends along the ride / some still fly, others never try

To the ones on the ground I wish you well / I've missed you since the day you fell

I'll see you in that sweet by and by

I pray I always float above the trees / soaring high searching for my dreams

I know some day I'll have to land / when I do I hope it's in sand

I'll rest there until the day I die

Then I'll fly, fly, and fly………

O dia em que percebi que era grande o suficiente pra voar

Deixei o ninho e fui pro céu aberto

Abri minhas asas tão longe e amplas

Eu podia tocar o horizonte de ambos os lados

Virei a cabeça, sorri e me despedi

Nunca me senti tão perdido e livre

Não tinha plano, e isso tava de boa pra mim

Apenas deixei o vento me levar, foi massa

Tudo parecia novinho em folha

Céus azuis claros até onde eu conseguia ver

Fiz muitos amigos nessa jornada

Alguns ainda voam, outros nunca tentam

Para os que estão no chão, desejo tudo de bom

Sinto falta de vocês desde o dia que caíram

Vou ver vocês naquele doce depois

Rezo pra sempre flutuar acima das árvores

Planando alto, buscando meus sonhos

Sei que um dia vou ter que pousar
