I Know I Can Trust
At the breaking of dawn, I cry out to You
In the morning light, I seek Your face, oh my God
I need Your shoulder to pour out my tears
And I know I can trust in You
For You are my refuge in all my pain
I need Your embrace, Your love and compassion for my soul
Hold my hands, lord, take me in Your arms
Enfold me with Your mercy
So that I may have life, so that I may overcome my afflictions
The days are getting difficult, the burdens heavier
And the journey is becoming weary
But I know I can trust in Your love for me
In Your mercy over my life
I learned so much from my mistakes
When I walked alone through this world
I learned from my pain, from my failures
But I only understood the meaning of life when I fell
And in despair, I looked up
Gazing at the vastness of the heavens, I cried out to You
And You answered my cry
I looked to the sky and felt
A strength I had never felt before
I felt Your hands touching me
I felt that Your faithfulness is real
I felt that I can trust
Your embrace warmed my soul, Your light guided me in the darkness
When You illuminated my path, I heard Your voice within me saying
I am Jesus, just trust in me
I will trust in You, o my Lord Jesus
I will praise You as long as I have breath
I will sing Your good news to the world
I will speak Your name with boldness
I will carry Your word wherever I go
Like seeds to be sown
So that there may be fruit, so that souls may be saved
So that the world may know that You are the most high God
