Oligarchical Deception

Measurements of humanity
In increments separating rungs
Though all who near the top
Will be devoured by those from underneath
Equality is a right as all bleed and die
And the plentiful of today
Could be the destitute of tomorrow
Compassion now a trait of the idealistic
Who are criticized for not being realistic
In a society where prisons outvalue schools
Trade in the rights of the many
For the supposed safety of the few
But they'll never be safe
As their propaganda destroys their sanity
