Atomic Threat
A gentle breeze refreshes the hot summer air,
Lets rustle leaves and tousle hair.
But the wind brings the dread,
The invisible horror.
Soon all life will be dead,
Nightmare of terror.
Unsuspecting population,
Suspense rules and sorrow.
Times of infection
And atrocity will follow.
Cause of the bad scenery
Is some escaped radioactivity.
Released by an accident
In a nuclear power station,
Or escaped by
Atomic waste transportation,
The cloud of torment
Covers the wholy nation.
All percautions useless,
Every warning too late;
Attempts of cover up fruitless,
Too big is the fate.
No more day without pain,
Radiation comes with every blast;
No more walking in the rain,
Normal life is past.
Chaos - helplessness
Flight - emptiness
Contamination - illness
Torture - death.
Again it blows a breath of air,
No rustling leaves, no tousling hair.

Ameaça Atômica
Uma brisa suave refresca o ar quente do verão,
Faz as folhas farfalharem e bagunça o cabelo.
Mas o vento traz o medo,
O horror invisível.
Logo toda vida estará morta,
Pesadelo de terror.
População desavisada,
Suspense reina e a tristeza.
Tempos de infecção
E atrocidades virão.
A causa do cenário ruim
É alguma radioatividade que escapou.
Liberada por um acidente
Em uma usina nuclear,
Ou escapada por
Transporte de resíduos atômicos,
A nuvem de tormento
Cobre a nação inteira.
Todas as precauções inúteis,
Todo aviso tarde demais;
Tentativas de encobrir infrutíferas,
O destino é grande demais.
Não há mais dia sem dor,
A radiação vem com cada explosão;
Não há mais caminhadas na chuva,
A vida normal ficou para trás.
Caos - impotência
Fuga - vazio
Contaminação - doença
Tortura - morte.
Novamente sopra uma brisa de ar,
Sem folhas farfalhando, sem cabelo bagunçado.
