Pushed forward in conversation
How the circus came to town
Hiding in different places
To see the lights burn out
But it's been so long
Since I saw you painting lillies
Coloured purple on the grey desert ground
And it's been too long Since I let you fall within me
It must be hard when there's no-one around
Winter casts a spell over the ground
Keeping Summer locked away
Can you tell me why we disappear each night
When the streetlights lead the way in spite of all this rain..
And I don't believe I've seen the moon shine so bright
Or the way you hung your head as the stars came out tonight
It's all for claiming once that you were out of sight
But I can't remember December anymore
But it's been so long
Since I saw you painting lillies
Coloured purple on the grey desert ground
And it's been too long Since I let you fall within me
It must be hard when there's no-one around
So leave all your jealousy
And take me from this fantasy
Cos I thought I saw the oceans rise
Through the burning embers of your eyes
But I put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can take it
And I know there's no wrong
Down the path that you have taken
But I don't want to feel alone
By this point that you are making
So I wish that you'd come home
And I can't believe my fate
Pintando Lírios
Empurrado pra frente na conversa
Como o circo chegou à cidade
Escondendo-se em lugares diferentes
Pra ver as luzes se apagarem
Mas já faz tanto tempo
Desde que eu te vi pintando lírios
Coloridos de roxo no chão cinza do deserto
E já faz tempo demais Desde que deixei você entrar em mim
Deve ser difícil quando não tem ninguém por perto
O inverno lança um feitiço sobre o chão
Mantendo o verão trancado
Você pode me dizer por que desaparecemos a cada noite
Quando os postes de luz mostram o caminho apesar de toda essa chuva..
E eu não acredito que vi a lua brilhar tão forte
Ou a forma como você baixou a cabeça quando as estrelas apareceram esta noite
É tudo pra afirmar uma vez que você estava fora de vista
Mas não consigo lembrar mais de dezembro
Mas já faz tanto tempo
Desde que eu te vi pintando lírios
Coloridos de roxo no chão cinza do deserto
E já faz tempo demais Desde que deixei você entrar em mim
Deve ser difícil quando não tem ninguém por perto
Então deixe toda a sua inveja
E me tire dessa fantasia
Porque eu pensei que vi os oceanos subirem
Através das brasas ardentes dos seus olhos

Empurrado até onde eu posso ir
E eu sei que não há erro
