Human Kite
Once i woke to find a splinter
Forgotten in my northern eye
Scratched and scribbled to remove it
But it was shy so warm inside
Tried my best to re-remember
What foe or friend had placed it there
Wading through the hall of records
The sand and sea beneath my hair
I was lost and floating frantic
Through such piles of ancient grime
I had never learned to swim in
My own kaleidoscopic mind
Always stuck to simpler waters
Soft push and pull of others' tides
Shallow blues and lofty hazels
The only riddles i'd dare ride
Though when i confront the mirror
The look she gives me is black as night
Deeper than our mother ocean
Absorbing every speck of light
Once i dreamed the end of winter
Was hidden in my southern eye
I clicked my teeth and asked for spring
But she was wilting closed as ice
I tried to warm her by the flame
That leaped out of my northern stare
Lacing lashes through the ashes
Powdered gray compressed my care
I was hidden between pages
Obsessing over abstract time
Between all the roman numerals
A ticking face so far from mine
Kept my wings all folded under
Moving within the grid and guide
But today i'll test my edges
And fall or free from off the side
With the moon i will uncover
My waxing luminescent sight
For i am just a constellation
And lightning flies this human kite

Uma vez eu acordei para encontrar uma lasca
Esqueceu-se no meu olho norte
Riscado e rabiscado para removê-lo
Mas foi tímido dentro tão quente
Tentei o meu melhor para re-lembrar
O amigo ou inimigo tinha colocado lá
Vadear através da sala de registros
A areia eo mar sob o meu cabelo
Eu estava perdido e flutuante frenético
Através de tais pilhas de sujeira antiga
Eu nunca tinha aprendido a nadar
Minha própria mente caleidoscópica
Sempre preso às águas mais simples
Empurrão suave e tração das marés dos outros
Azuis rasas e avelãs elevados
As únicas charadas eu ousam passeio
Embora quando eu enfrentar o espelho
O olhar que ela me dá é negro como a noite
Mais profundo do que nosso oceano mãe
Absorvendo cada partícula de luz
Uma vez eu sonhei o fim do inverno
Estava escondido no meu olho sul
Eu cliquei meus dentes e perguntou para a primavera
Mas ela estava murcha fechado como o gelo
Tentei aquecê-la pela chama
Isso saltou de meu olhar norte
Lacing cílios através das cinzas
Cinza em pó comprimido meus cuidados
Eu estava escondido entre as páginas
Obsessão com o tempo abstrato
Entre todos os algarismos romanos
Um cara correndo tão longe da minha
Mantido minhas asas dobradas sob todos
Movendo-se dentro da grade e guia
Mas hoje eu vou testar meus bordas
E cair ou livre de fora do lado
Com a lua eu vou descobrir
Meu depilação luminescente vista
Porque eu sou apenas uma constelação
E relâmpago voa este kite humano
