Alone with God

When everything grows silent
I stop and seek Your face
I leave the world behind for a moment
And come to rest in Your embrace

It's not loneliness, Lord
It's drawing closer to You
Away from every distraction
To hear Your voice within
And feel Your heart

Alone with You, I learn to hear
Your Word that teaches me
In the silence, I can pray
And rest in Your presence, Lord

I don't want to leave the people
Or live apart from everyone
I only need some time with You
My Father, my greatest One

When my weary soul is tired
In You I will rest
For in Christ I have found
The peace the world can never give

Alone with God, I find my peace
Alone with God, my soul is renewed
In Your Word, I will meditate
In silent prayer, I come to seek Your face
Alone with God, my heart can rest
For in Christ I find my refuge and my hope

Jesus sought the Father
In His moments of prayer
He went up to the mountain
Alone in deep communion there

I want to learn from Jesus
To stop and seek Your face
To lay down all my worries
And rest within Your grace

When my weary soul is tired
In You I will rest
For in Christ I have found
The peace the world can never give

It's not absence, it's Your presence
It's not emptiness, it's communion
It's not distance, it's intimacy
It's quieting my heart

Speak to me through Your Word
Teach me how to listen
Guide my steps, oh Lord
And let my soul find rest

Alone with God, I find my peace
Alone with God, my soul is renewed
In Your Word, I will meditate
In silent prayer, I come to seek Your face
Alone with God, my heart can rest
For in Christ I find my refuge and my hope

Alone with God, I find my peace
Alone with God
