Spring Came Early
On the western edge of town
the grass is coming in
and all of my good friends
are waiting for the heat to warm
the water in their pools
their sick and tired of school
winters gone along with our responsibilities
once again we're free
to roam the place
that we have claimed
our home and disagree
on the stupidest of things
I can feel the end of something here
I've been dreading it for all these years
we have just weeks
to celebrate
our friendship and our youth
it's the last thing that we'll do
before the stress of growing up
consumes us and we stop
all our careless thoughts
I wish that we could run away
from plans and not look back
but life changes so fast
the future looms in front of us
and scares us half to death
we'll soon be silhouettes
I can feel the end of something here

once again were smiling when we hear
that spring is coming earlier this year

Na beira oeste da cidade
a grama tá brotando
e todos os meus bons amigos
estão esperando o calor esquentar
a água das suas piscinas
estão cansados da escola
o inverno se foi junto com nossas responsabilidades
mais uma vez estamos livres
pra explorar o lugar
que chamamos de lar
e discordar
sobre as coisas mais bobas
Eu sinto que algo tá chegando ao fim aqui
Eu venho temendo isso todos esses anos
temos apenas algumas semanas
pra celebrar
nossa amizade e nossa juventude
é a última coisa que vamos fazer
antes que o estresse de crescer
nos consuma e a gente pare
todos os nossos pensamentos despreocupados
Eu queria que pudéssemos fugir
dos planos e não olhar pra trás
mas a vida muda tão rápido
o futuro se aproxima de nós
e nos assusta até a morte
logo seremos silhuetas

Eu venho temendo isso todos esses anos
mais uma vez estamos sorrindo quando ouvimos
que a primavera tá chegando mais cedo este ano
