The Last Leaf
There’s a tree in an open field
Branches reach for the sun
With the green of a thousand leaves
And a world that has just begun
For the springtime is here again
Buds and blossoms abound
Promises of the future days
And new life that is all around
See the last leaf shivering
As the winds did blow
Holding tight to what she knew
For fear of the unknown
Soon the spring turned to summertime
She could never deny
How she loved her home up there
In between the earth and sky
Still to drift on a summer breeze
Was to taste paradise
But that summer would turn to fall
And the autumn would turn to ice
See the last leaf shivering
As the winds did blow
Holding tight to what she knew
For fear of the unknown
In the harvest of golden days
Leaves were turning to fire
Dancing upon the autumn breeze
Like a princess on the high wire
One by one though the dancers dove
Spiralling to the ground
Carried off on a winter wind
Disappearing without a sound
See the last leaf shivering
As the winds did blow
Holding tight to what she knew
For fear of the unknown
So the last leaf took to flight
As the winds did blow
Holding tight to what could be
Finally letting go
The Last Leaf
Há uma árvore em um campo aberto
Ramos chegar para o sol
Com o verde de mil folhas
E um mundo que apenas começou
Para a primavera está aqui novamente
Brotos e flores abundam
Promessas dos dias futuros
E uma nova vida que está ao seu redor
Veja a última folha tremendo
Como os ventos fez golpe
Segurando firme para o que ela sabia
Por medo do desconhecido
Logo a primavera voltou-se para o verão
Ela nunca poderia negar
Como ela amava sua casa lá em cima
Entre a terra eo céu
Ainda à deriva em uma brisa de verão
Foi para provar o paraíso
Mas que o verão se tornaria a cair
E o outono se transformar em gelo
Veja a última folha tremendo
Como os ventos fez golpe
Segurando firme para o que ela sabia
Por medo do desconhecido
Na safra de dias dourados
As folhas foram se voltando para disparar
Dançando sobre a brisa do outono
Como uma princesa no fio de alta
Um por um, embora os dançarinos mergulhou
Espiralando para o chão
Retirado em um vento de inverno
Desaparecendo sem um som
Veja a última folha tremendo
Como os ventos fez golpe
Segurando firme para o que ela sabia
Por medo do desconhecido
Assim, a última folha levou à fuga
Como os ventos fez golpe
Segurando firme para o que poderia ser
Finalmente deixar ir
