Before the light of day,Te lucis ante terminum,
Creator of all things, we ask,Rerum Creator, poscimus,
That by your mercy,Ut pro tua clementia,
You may be our guide and protector.Sis praesul et custodia.

Let dreams fade away,Procul recedant somnia,
And the phantoms of the night:Et noctium phantasmata:
Repress our enemy,Hostemque nostrum comprime,
