The Wheel Of Life
Life is like a ferris wheel
It keeps on turning without feel
As it spins round and round
It picks you up and lets you down
Up and down and back again
The world seems to be in a spin
Will this crazy cycle ever end?
And when it does-- what then?
The sun goes down and comes up again
I can't remember where I've been
The ferris wheel goes round and round
I wonder if I'll hit the ground
I almost do-- I almost do,
But then somehow I've made it through!
The wheel climbs on-- I'm up on top again
Where is my life leading to?
Whatever am I coming to?
Sometimes fast-- sometimes slow
It makes a circle as it goes
As I face the ground below,
I fear the wheel may lose control
I know that I've been here before--
I do no know much more
Then the wheel begins to rise
And I can almost touch the sky
It feels so good it makes me glad
And now my life doesn't feel so bad
The good and bad times come and go,
As round and round the wheel must go
And you and I -- ride this wheel of life.
A Roda da Vida
A vida é como uma roda-gigante
Ela continua girando sem sentir
Enquanto roda pra lá e pra cá
Te levanta e te deixa pra baixo
Pra cima e pra baixo e de novo
O mundo parece estar em rotação
Esse ciclo maluco vai acabar algum dia?
E quando acabar-- e aí?
O sol se põe e nasce de novo
Não consigo lembrar onde estive
A roda-gigante gira e gira
Me pergunto se vou tocar o chão
Quase toco-- quase toco,
Mas de alguma forma eu consegui passar!
A roda sobe-- estou lá em cima de novo
Pra onde minha vida está me levando?
O que será que estou me tornando?
Às vezes rápido-- às vezes devagar
Ela faz um círculo enquanto vai
Enquanto encaro o chão lá embaixo,
Temo que a roda possa perder o controle
Sei que já estive aqui antes--
Não sei muito mais
Então a roda começa a subir
E quase consigo tocar o céu
É tão bom que me deixa feliz
E agora minha vida não parece tão ruim
Os bons e maus momentos vão e vêm,
Enquanto a roda deve continuar girando
E você e eu -- andamos nessa roda da vida.
