Wonderful World
there's a peddler a pusher standing on the corner
there's a junky on the street with some crack to warm her
down and out in the city she's working as a hooker
so the system took the freedom to overlook her
she don't exist that's made her feel the hate
she's just a victim of the world that we create
she didn't have a chance man she didn't want to do it
but she never got the choice so she just said screw it
she took it to the bottom just trying it all
knowing that nobody even cared at all
don't deny her needs take a look at yourself
before you start talking 'bout anything else
such a wonderful world such a wonderful world
there's a lower class family they're living in a vice
you know it ain't to bad but it sure ain't nice
four kids in a flat that was built for two
cockroaches on the floor so what they gonna do
rats in the cellar no water in the tap
the kids of today are growing up with this crap
a sweet loving mother she does everything she can
a father with a will he's a fighting man
he's lost his job and all the money's been spent
so tell me anybody who's gonna pay the rent
and you're all talking 'bout equality
this whole fucking world is insanity
such a wonderful world..... wonderful wonderful
meanwhile in a suburb some fancy boulevard
there's a couple in a house with a dog on guard
3 cars in the garage they keep everything inside
afraid of the violence afraid to go outside
money ain't funny if you're afraid to use it
you grip it to hard when you're afraid to loose it
working as a lawyer in some upperclass area
alone at home his wife goes into hysteria
a gun under her pillow to tense to relax
to rich to face reality to scared to face the facts
they stick to what they got and they try to make it pretty
hiding from the life that's going on down in the city
such a wonderful world.....
Mundo Maravilhoso
tem um vendedor um empurrador parado na esquina
tem uma viciada na rua com crack pra esquentar
caída e sem saída na cidade, ela trabalha como garota de programa
então o sistema ignorou a liberdade dela
ela não existe, isso fez ela sentir o ódio
ela é só uma vítima do mundo que a gente cria
ela não teve chance, cara, ela não queria fazer isso
mas nunca teve escolha, então só falou "que se dane"
ele foi até o fundo só tentando tudo
sabendo que ninguém se importava nem um pouco
não negue as necessidades dela, olhe pra você mesmo
antes de começar a falar sobre qualquer outra coisa
um mundo tão maravilhoso, um mundo tão maravilhoso
tem uma família de classe baixa vivendo em um vício
você sabe que não é tão ruim, mas também não é legal
quatro crianças em um apartamento que foi feito pra dois
baratas no chão, e o que eles vão fazer?
ratos no porão, sem água na torneira
a garotada de hoje tá crescendo com essa merda
uma mãe doce e amorosa, ela faz tudo que pode
um pai determinado, ele é um lutador
perdeu o emprego e todo o dinheiro já foi
então me diz, quem vai pagar o aluguel?
e vocês tão todos falando sobre igualdade
esse mundo todo é uma insanidade
um mundo tão maravilhoso..... maravilhoso, maravilhoso
enquanto isso, em um subúrbio, em um boulevard chique
tem um casal em uma casa com um cachorro de guarda
três carros na garagem, eles guardam tudo lá dentro
com medo da violência, com medo de sair pra fora
dinheiro não é engraçado se você tem medo de usá-lo
você aperta muito forte quando tem medo de perdê-lo
trabalhando como advogado em uma área de classe alta
sozinho em casa, a esposa entra em histeria
uma arma debaixo do travesseiro, tensa demais pra relaxar
tão rica pra encarar a realidade, tão assustada pra encarar os fatos
eles se apegam ao que têm e tentam deixar bonito
se escondendo da vida que tá rolando lá na cidade
um mundo tão maravilhoso.....
