O rei está muito perto;The King is very near;
Fora com dor e tristeza,Away with grief and sorrow,
Para lo! sua ajuda está aqui.For lo! your Help is here.

O Senhor vai lhe dar alegria;The Lord will give you joy;
Apesar de problemas angústia agora você,Though troubles now distress you,
Com conforto Ele irá abençoá-lo,With comfort He will bless you,
Morte E'en Ele vai destruir.E’en death He will destroy.

Seu coração tem muito que nos amou,His heart hath long since loved us,
Ele torna a nossa luz, escuridão.He makes our darkness light.
Agora são os nossos sofrimentos o'er;Now are our sorrows o’er;
No furor e'er abater sobre nós,No wrath shall e’er befall us,
Uma vez que Deus na graça Acaso chamar-nosSince God in grace doth call us
Seus filhos sempre.His children evermore.

Haste em seguida, com passos ansiosos,Haste then, with eager footsteps,
Para ver seu Soberano lá!To see your Sovereign there!
Ele cavalga como Rei de Sião,He rides as King of Zion,
