O Esfria

When I was 16 I started this band

I played fast guitar, I'd tap with both my hands

We called ourselves the 'The Cools'

It wasn't a good name but neither was our band

And I wrote songs for Jen

Jen was my girlfriend

She said my songs were fun

I asked her a question: 'will you come to our first show?, The Cools go on at 10, right after Grand:PM'

She said that she would

She would if not for one, one thing she'd never done

She'd never seen her favorite ban

By chance they were in town the same night as The Cools

I said "Don't you like us Jen?"

She said "Yes but I love them''

So I cut class that day and I did something low

I took Jen's locker key up to the second floor

I tore her tickets up and lied

And I hugged her when she cried

And she came to our show

We were the greatest band that had ever lived

We made a sacred fan out of every kid

We had this flag above our drum kit and it read: 'THE COOLS'

Oh no oh no

This can't be so

We're in The Cools

Friday at the show Mugshot play "The Brews"

Grand:PM was good but their singer didn't move

And then this lady said into the microphone "Please welcome The Cools!"

I said "Jen what did you think?"

She said that it was good except one thing I hadn't done

I didn't dedicate her song

Well I said "Come on Jen! It was the best show in the world"

She said "3 out of 10"

And she went home with Grand:PM

We were the greatest band that had ever lived

We made a sacred fan out of every kid

We had this flag above our drum kit and it read: 'THE COOLS'

Quando eu tinha 16 anos eu comecei essa banda

Eu tocava guitarra rápido, que eu toque com as duas mãos

Nós nos chamamos de "O Cools"

Não era um bom nome, mas não era a nossa banda

E eu escrevi canções para Jen

Jen era minha namorada

Ela disse que minhas músicas eram divertidas

Perguntei-lhe uma pergunta: 'você vai vir para o nosso primeiro show, The Cools ir a 10, logo após o Grande: PM'

Ela disse que faria

Ela teria se não fosse por um, uma coisa que ela nunca tinha feito

Ela nunca tinha visto proibição favorito

Por acaso estavam na cidade na mesma noite que o Cools

Eu disse "Você não gosta de nós Jen?"

Ela disse: "Sim, mas eu os amo''

Então eu cortei de classe naquele dia e eu fiz algo de baixa

Peguei chave Jen armário até o segundo andar

Eu rasguei seus bilhetes para cima e mentiu

E eu a abracei enquanto ela chorava

E ela veio ao nosso show

Nós éramos a maior banda que já tinha vivido

Fizemos um fã sagrado de cada criança

Nós tivemos essa bandeira acima do nosso kit de bateria e ele dizia: "O Cools"

Sexta-feira no programa Mugshot jogar "O Brews"

Grand: PM era bom, mas seu vocalista não se mexeu

E então esta senhora disse no microfone: "Por favor bem-vindos O Esfria!"

Eu disse: "Jen o que você achou?"

Ela disse que era bom, excepto uma coisa que eu não tinha feito

Eu não dedicar sua canção

Bem, eu disse: "Venha Jen! Foi o melhor show do mundo"

Ela disse: "3 de 10"

E ela foi para casa com o Grande: PM
