E ele gritou com uma voz forte, dizendoAnd he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying
Babilônia, a grande, caiu, caiuBabylon the great is fallen, is fallen
E se tornou a morada de demônios, e o abrigo de todo espírito imundoAnd is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit
E uma jaula de toda ave imunda e odiosaAnd a cage of every unclean and hateful bird

Pois todas as nações beberam do vinho da ira da sua prostituiçãoFor all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication
E os reis da terra se prostituíram com elaAnd the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her
E os mercadores da terra ficaram ricos pela abundância de suas iguariasAnd the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies

E eu ouvi outra voz do céu, dizendo: Sai dela, meu povoAnd I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people
Para que não sejais cúmplices de seus pecados, e para que não recebais de suas pragasThat ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues
Pois seus pecados chegaram até o céu, e Deus se lembrou de sua iniquidadeFor her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquitie

Portanto, suas pragas virão em um dia, morte, luto e fomeTherefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine
E ela será totalmente queimada com fogo, pois forte é o Senhor Deus que a julgaAnd she shall be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her
E os reis da terra, que se prostituíram e viveram luxuosamente com elaAnd the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her
Chorarão por ela e lamentarão, quando virem a fumaça de seu incêndioShall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning

Estando longe, por causa do medo de seu tormento, dizendoStanding afar off for the fear of her torment, saying
Ai, ai, daquela grande cidade Babilônia, daquela cidade poderosa!Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city!
Pois em uma hora veio o teu juízoFor in one hour is thy judgment come
