Failure To Communicate
It's hard sometimes to speak my mind
A sympathetic ear is never easy to find
In a world where we're taught to be quiet and obey
Is there any wonder why we don't have much to say?
When religious wars are being fought to the death
If you're speaking for god my friend you're out of your depth
When it's the same kind of message you're trying to preach
You talk about love and you talk about peace
But somewhere along the line your wires are crossed
And somewhere along the line your message is lost
Now everybody's talking
And i think that what is missing
Is ability to listen to what is being said
Instead of blankly nodding your head
Ignoring what you hear cos you're waiting
For your chance to speak
They'll blame it on love
They'll blame it on hare
I call that a failure to communicate
Falha na Comunicação
Às vezes é difícil dizer o que penso
Um ouvido compreensivo nunca é fácil de encontrar
Num mundo onde nos ensinam a ficar calados e obedecer
É de se admirar que não temos muito a dizer?
Quando guerras religiosas são travadas até a morte
Se você fala por Deus, meu amigo, tá se metendo em encrenca
Quando é a mesma mensagem que você tenta pregar
Você fala sobre amor e fala sobre paz
Mas em algum ponto do caminho seus fios se cruzaram
E em algum ponto do caminho sua mensagem se perdeu
Agora todo mundo tá falando
E eu acho que o que tá faltando
É a habilidade de ouvir o que tá sendo dito
Em vez de acenar com a cabeça sem pensar
Ignorando o que ouve porque tá esperando
Sua vez de falar
Vão colocar a culpa no amor
Vão colocar a culpa na raiva
Eu chamo isso de falha na comunicação
